Privacy
How we handle the data of people who visit this site and write to us about a wedding. In plain words, with nothing hidden.
Notice
Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
Last updated on 28 October 2026.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is NURA Indian Food S.r.l., Via Giuseppe Montanelli 16/C, 50065 Pontassieve (FI), Italy, VAT and tax number 07437090488.
For any question about your data, write to info@nuraindianfood.com or call +39 333 338 0538. NURA has not appointed a data protection officer, as one is not required for its activity.
What data we process
Only what we need:
- Browsing data. When you open a page, the server that hosts the site automatically records some technical data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system. It keeps the site running and protects it from abuse. We do not use it to find out who you are.
- Enquiry form data. First name, last name, email, date of the event, venue or place, approximate number of guests. If you choose to add them, your wedding planner or agency, a message, and a tradition to consider. With the enquiry we record the page it was sent from.
- Data you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp or social media. Whatever you choose to write to us, so that we can reply.
- Contract data. If your enquiry becomes an event, what we need for the quote, the contract, the organisation of the service and the invoice.
Traditions and dietary requirements
Telling us about a tradition or a dietary requirement, such as Jain, halal or vegetarian only, may reveal religious beliefs. Under the GDPR these are special categories of data (Article 9).
The field is optional. We only process it if you give your explicit consent with the second box under the form: without that consent, the form does not send it. We use it only to prepare the proposal for your wedding, and only the NURA staff who write it can see it. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Please do not include health information, such as allergies or intolerances, in the form. If it matters for the event, we collect it later, when we plan the menu, with the explicit consent of the person who gives it to us.
Why we process it, and on what legal basis
- Replying to your enquiry and preparing a proposal: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Taking into account the tradition you described: your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)).
- Organising and serving the event: performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Accounting and tax obligations: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
- Running the site securely, preventing abuse and defending our rights: NURA's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not use your data for advertising or newsletters, we do not sell it, we do not profile you and we make no automated decisions.
If you do not provide the data
The fields marked with an asterisk are needed to reply: without them we cannot prepare a proposal. All the others are optional.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a contract: twelve months from our last exchange, then we delete them.
- The tradition you described: until you withdraw your consent, and never longer than the enquiry or contract it belongs to.
- Contracts and invoices: ten years, as Italian law requires (Article 2220 of the Civil Code).
- Browsing data: for the short period the hosting provider uses for security and diagnostics.
Who sees it
The NURA staff authorised to handle enquiries and events. The providers we need to do our work also process it on our behalf, as processors (Article 28):
- Netlify, Inc., which hosts the site and receives the enquiries sent through the form;
- the provider of our email service, where enquiries arrive;
- our tax adviser, for contracts and invoices.
If we work on your wedding with a planner or with the venue, we share with them only what the organisation requires. We never make your data public.
Transfers outside the European Union
Netlify is based in the United States, and the data of the site and of the form may be processed there. The transfer is covered by the safeguards of the GDPR: Netlify is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Article 45), and uses the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission (Article 46).
You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards at info@nuraindianfood.com.
Cookies
The site uses no profiling, analytics or third-party cookies, and loads no content from other sites: fonts, photographs and videos all come from the site itself. That is why we do not ask for your consent when you arrive.
We use a single technical cookie of our own: nura_contact_dismissed. It remembers for seven days that you closed the enquiry panel, so that we do not show it again. It contains no personal data. You can delete it in your browser settings, and the site still works.
The links to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Google Maps and the publications that have written about us lead to other sites, with their own privacy notices. Until you open them, they receive nothing from this site.
Your rights
At any time, free of charge, you can ask us:
- to access your data and receive a copy (Article 15);
- to correct it if it is inaccurate (Article 16);
- to erase it (Article 17);
- to restrict its processing (Article 18);
- to receive it in a readable format to take it elsewhere (Article 20);
- to object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Article 21);
- to withdraw the consent given for the tradition, without affecting the processing carried out before (Article 7).
Write to info@nuraindianfood.com: we reply within one month.
If you believe the processing breaches the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live or work.
If you write on someone else's behalf
If you fill in the form for the couple, as a wedding planner, agency or family member, send us only the data we need and make this notice known to them. Our services are intended for adults.
Changes
We may update this notice, for example if a provider changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
